March is Women’s History Month and March 8th is International Women’s Day. Women's History Month is an annual declared month that highlights the contributions of women to events in history and contemporary society and International Women’s Day is a celebration of respect, appreciation and love towards women for their economic, political and social achievements. We will be celebrating Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day here at the ACFJC on March 24th with our Women Celebrating Women Event. This year our theme is Women in Science, Technology and Industry. There will be food, music, her-story, a museum and speakers.

The event is from 11-1pm here at the FJC (470-27th Street in Oakland).

In honor of Women's History Month in March, the Alameda County Family Justice Center is hosting the 'Women Celebrating Women' event.

The event takes place on Thursday, March 31st between 11am and 1pm.

There will be speakers, poets, and artists sharing their journeys in a welcoming environment with great food and music. Clients from ACFJC programs will also be displaying the vision boards they have created for their future lives.
